I was so blown away by the research (the wonderful footnotes) in this article that I kinda forgot to comment on the central tenant of the article: Mishra's wishy washy appraisal of British rule during its time in India. Mr. Berlinski's thorough tear down of Mishra's "research" rivals Dr. Johnson's mentioned in the foot notes.

Cannot adequately convey how much I enjoyed this article and Mr. Berlinski's other articles mentioned in the footnotes, especially the one on the two tear downs of Islamic Star Gazing platforms trying but ultimately failing to suppress real science.

The truth prevails... slowly at times... but relentlessly.

[ok: I'll stop ...ha ha]

It is difficult to wrap one's head around this phenomenal article by Mr. Berlinski. It is nothing short of fabulous in its sweep and yet its zeroing so closely certain topics such as: race-ethnicity, Islam and Hinduism, WWI, the 3rd Reich, Swami's and sexual hysterics in Colorado to mention a few (the historically devastating critique of Islamic "science" or maybe that was in his other article?).

Really amazing stuff: hear, hear, sir. Hear. Hear. Fabulous stuff.

Thank you, Claire, and regards, PSW.
