That is wonderful news. I am actually involved in a stay-at-home “retreat” as I undertake various home-improvements including painting before March arrival of visiting family. I envy your basket-weaving opportunity.

Good for you, Claire. The times demand an occasional mental health break. The weather here in NW Indiana has been clement for this time of year and last week I was able to while away a couple of afternoons sitting in the sun in my back yard, glass of wine handy, rereading Evelyn Waugh's absolutely hilarious novel, "Scoop." Phone and tablet stayed in the house. It wasn't Marrakech, but it did put the rest of the world on hold for a few hours.

By the way, I contributed a comment to your cri de coeur in which I actually called it that. Great minds thinking alike and so forth.

As my Gen X/Millennial husband and I started saying recently, "Love this for you!". But seriously - rest and enjoy time with people you love. That place looks magical!!!!

We could all learn from Alfred E. Neuman: "What, me worry?"

I realize that I am being obvious, but many of my cultural references are outdated and young people don't understand them.

I now understand my dad (born 1909) when people wondered why he called a refrigerator an "icebox".

As a good conservative, I now qualify for Talleyrand's comment (“They had learned nothing and forgotten nothing.”).
