Once again, the headlines say that Iran will attack Israel in the coming 48 hours—or they might not:

  • Major Iran attack of 100 drones, dozens of missiles at IDF targets could come as soon as today

  • US issues travel warning for Israel with Iran attack believed to be imminent: Israel is bracing for a worst-case scenario that US officials believe could materialize within just hours.

  • “The wicked regime has made a mistake. It must be punished and it will be punished,” Khamenei says.

  • “Israel … has no way to escape from its doomed fate and will be destroyed.”

  • “One of the things we excel at over the years is that the enemy never knows what surprises we are preparing for it.”

  • US said to believe Iranian attack on Israel is imminent. “Matter of when, not if.”

  • The US has picked up intelligence that Iran is planning a retaliatory attack that would include a swarm of Shahed loitering drones and cruise missiles ... The attack is likely to come between now and the end of Ramadan next week.

  • US not ruling out launching joint response against Iran if it attacks Israel.

  • Our commitment to Israel’s security against these threats from Iran and its proxies is ironclad,” says Biden. “Let me say it again, ironclad.”

  • Tehran yet to decide, says person briefed on the matter.

  • Israel threatens to bomb nuke sites as Iran backs down.

The Iranians must be chortling into their robes—how many weekends can they ruin this way?
