A debate

For those of you who haven’t yet tired of my views about Israel and Gaza, here’s a debate between me and William Dowell on the WhoWhatWhy podcast, moderated by Jeff Schectman.

The editor-in-chief of WhoWhatWhy got in touch with me a couple of weeks or maybe months ago to ask if I’d like to work with them. I told them I was pretty busy these days, but I’d be happy to think about it. Recently I’ve been sitting in on their editorial meetings to get a sense of what they do. I’ve come to look forward to those. They’re fun.

This podcast emerged because during one of those meetings, it became quickly clear that William and I had significantly different views about this war. To keep the meeting on track, Jeff suggested we put the conversation on ice for the moment and debate it on a podcast. Thus we did.
