I didn’t stay up late biting my nails to see how the Polish election would go. I’ve got no special connection to Poland or its political life. I’ve never been to Poland. And I figured it would be a big disappointment, anyway. So when I woke up and saw the news, I was surprised and pleased. It’s a good sign for liberal democracies everywhere.
