Claire—I finally finished, and Politico finally published, the article I’ve meant to write since forever about the geopolitical ramifications of Google Translate. It came out looking very spiffy:

(Sadly, though, she told me I couldn’t keep the line about Orbán having “long since nestled himself in Putin’s crotch.” I thought excitedly that I was going to get away with that until very final round of editing. But alas, she finally brought the hammer down with a cool, “Rephrase.”)
