Although there are important stories unfolding all over the world, by far the most significant are the developments in Ukraine and Iran—and the latter is receiving less attention than usually it would because of the former. So for the sake of brevity, we’ll focus on Ukraine and Iran today. We’ll do a full global tour later in the week.

🇺🇦 Ukraine

You heard about the Kerch Strait Bridge, presumably. And if you’ve checked any media outlet today, you know that Russia is raining missiles on Ukrainian cities in a murderous (but tactically and strategically useless) display of furious impotence. While the attacks would at first blush appear to be retaliation for the bridge, intelligence sources in Ukraine say this was planned well before the bridge was destroyed.
